New this school year!
Have you ever wondered how Ancient Egyptians decorated art, furniture and sarcophagi? This lesson melds a traditional gallery visit with modern 3D modelling techniques to create snapshots of human life inspired by Ancient Egypt! Students will explore Ancient Egyptian food and agriculture, as well as decorative motifs in Old, Middle, and New Kingdom Egypt. Students will then ideate on their learning through basic 3D modelling instruction with dedicated staff. Through their visit to ROM, students will create engaging snapshots of human life in 3D modelling software.
Learning goals:
By studying the past, we can better understand the present.
Social and environmental challenges were a major part of life in all communities.
Human activity and the environment affect each other, now and in the past.
Where do we get our information about the past and how do we evaluate our sources?
