Anthropology is the study of all of us. This one-hour, curriculum-aligned class looks at humanity, with the goals of understanding our species and our great diversity across the world, to uncover the many aspects of what it means to be a complicated and unique human. This class includes both gallery and classroom components.
Learning Goals:
Humans are very similar, and our diversity from culture, heritage, language, etc, adds to our shared humanity.
We are one species in a hominid group in a tangle of evolution.
Museums are colonial institutions, and this is reflected in collections, research, and galleries.
